Ms. Beth Fiteni is Managing Director of the U.S. Green Building Council-Long Island Chapter and Program Coordinator for the Drive Electric Long Island Coalition. She is the founder and director of Green Inside and Out, an organization focusing on non-toxic living. Beth has twenty-five years of experience working in the sustainability field and has held positions at the NYS Department of Public Service on clean energy policy, the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College, Renewable Energy Long Island, Community Development Corporation of LI under a contract with NYSERDA, and Beyond Pesticides.
Among Beth’s honors and awards are the LI Sierra Club Environmentalist of the Year award; Woman of Distinction Award by the Town of Oyster Bay; the EPA’s Environmental Quality award for her work in co-creating educational materials on children’s environmental health; LI Business News’ Top 40 Under 40 award; and multiple awards from the Press Club of LI for her former radio show and current podcast. She is also a member of The Energeia Partnership at Molloy University, a Long Island-based leadership academy.
Beth earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Connecticut College and a master’s degree in environmental law from Vermont Law School. She resides in Huntington, New York.
