Ms. Deborah Young is Director of Operations and Finance for Praxis Public Relations, where her responsibilities include managing the budgetary and fiscal functions of the company, as well as the company’s day-to-day operations. Her diverse responsibilities center on ensuring that the organization is performing efficiently and effectively to encourage team development, maximum client support and long-term success. Ms. Young also manages projects, events and the day-to-day operations for the Suffolk County Village Officials Association and the financials for the U.S. Green Building Council-Long Island Chapter.

For two decades prior to working at Praxis, Debby acquired and developed book properties in business, healthcare, history and parenting for communications leaders Random House, Simon & Schuster and MacMillan. She has received numerous publishing awards including USA Book News, Best Book Award; Parent’s Choice Award; Independent Publishers Award, and ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Award.  In addition, she was a recipient of the Long Island Business News “Top 50 Women in Business” award.

Debby supports a number of nonprofit organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, LI Cares, and Southern Poverty Law Center.

She received her master’s degree in language development from Harvard University and a dual bachelor’s degree in English and Speech Pathology/Audiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Debby grew up on Long Island and resides in Old Bethpage, New York with her husband.
