Hannah Willen serves as Director of Government Relations at Praxis, where she leverages her political and governmental expertise to help clients navigate Long Island’s complex municipal landscape. She works closely with clients on land use and development matters, guiding them through intricate entitlement processes. Hannah plays a key role in the firm’s government relations efforts, connecting clients with relevant public sector partners and shaping political strategy through comprehensive research and analysis. She also leads the planning and execution of corporate retreats, designing tailored experiences that drive strategic alignment, strengthen collaboration, and enhance engagement among leadership teams.
In addition, Hannah oversees Praxis’ political engagement initiatives and leads the firm’s Young Professionals Network—a dynamic group of emerging Long Island professionals focused on business networking and community connection. She also manages the Praxis “Lunch & Learn” program, a quarterly series featuring expert-led educational sessions on key issues impacting the region, including zoning, water quality, and economic development.
Prior to joining Praxis, she worked for the New York State Senate in the Third Senatorial District as a constituent liaison and completed multiple internships with elected officials at the county and federal levels. In recognition of her professional achievements, Hannah was named one of Long Island Business News’ “Emerging Leaders Under 30.”
Hannah is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy. She volunteers with organizations including Atlantic Marine Conservation Society, Long Island Cares, Island Harvest, Helping Hands Rescue Mission, and Community Housing Innovations, and supports causes such as Planned Parenthood and Everytown for Gun Safety. She represents Praxis through her active involvement with several regional industry organizations, including the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI), and the Long Island Association (LIA).
Hannah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northeastern University, where she completed internships in both marketing and political lobbying, and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria, and Nairobi, Kenya.
A lifelong Long Islander, Hannah grew up in Northport, New York, where she currently resides.
